How we check the work
The checks every piece passes between the drawing and the site.
Before production
Two approvals before any metal is cut
The finish is approved on a physical sample: seen on the actual metal, not on a screen, and agreed in the light the piece will live in. The approved sample is kept, and it becomes the standard every piece in the batch is compared against.
The drawings come next: sections, joints and fixings resolved, and sizes checked against the opening on site. They are issued for your approval, and the cutting list is made only once they come back approved.

The checks along the way
- Each piece is cut and formed to the approved drawing, and checked against it at each bench.
- Welds are dressed before the piece moves on.
- The finish is compared against the approved sample, so colour and grain run consistently across the batch.
- The surface is protected before it is packed.
Before it leaves
The final check
The finished piece is measured against the drawing and compared against the sample one last time, before anything is packed. Fixings and loose parts are counted against the list, and photographs are taken of the finished work.
It is packed for the journey, not just for the warehouse, and every item on the dispatch note is in the crate.
On site
Once it is up
The work is checked against the drawing again once it is installed. Every finish on this website has its own care guidance on its page; if you are unsure how to clean a piece, ask us.
