How it looks	Design bitten into the surface, producing fine detail and artwork that cannot be achieved mechanically.	Formed entirely by hand.	Soft clouds of dark tone drifting across a warm ground. Worth knowing	Shallow by nature, so it wears where hands and feet pass — a wall or a panel, not a counter or a step.	No two panels are the same, and that is the reason to choose it — a sample approves a character and a range, not a match.	Suits panels, cladding and furniture seen as a whole.	Deep textures collect dirt and grease, so they belong away from kitchens, counters and the outdoors.
Looking after it	Mild detergent and a soft cloth.	As for hammered: a soft brush, a damp cloth, nothing abrasive.	Lacquered, it is simply wiped.	Dust with a soft brush and wipe; a deep grain holds what a flat surface would shed.
