Fully reflective. Unforgiving of any imperfection beneath it, which is why it is built up in stages rather than applied.

Worth knowing before you choose it
Shows every fingerprint and every scratch, so it belongs where it will be looked at and not handled. On brass, copper or bronze it only stays mirror-bright behind a lacquer or with upkeep. Not for floors, counters, or anything at hand height in a busy space.
Looking after it
A soft dry cloth for dust and a damp one for marks — never anything abrasive, which scratches a mirror surface permanently. On brass or bronze it is either lacquered, and then simply wiped, or left bare and polished regularly; decide which at the outset.
A finish is always approved on a physical sample of the metal you are using, under the light it will live in. Pictures on a screen only show the character of it.
