| Worth knowing | A gradient that runs across several panels is set out as one drawing and graded as one batch, so that it continues across the joints. | Small repairs blend better than on hairline but a damaged area is still re-brushed across the whole face. | Hard to carry cleanly around a tight curve, so it suits flat and gently formed panels. |
