How it looks	Deep three-dimensional panels and medallions cast from a pattern, then hand-finished.	A worked surface of controlled dents that breaks reflection into hundreds of small highlights.	Softer and more open than hairline, with a matt reflection that sits comfortably beside stone and timber.	A fine unidirectional grain.

Worth knowing	A pattern has to be made before anything is cast, so a one-off medallion carries the cost of its tooling.	The dents hold dust and, outside, water.	Small repairs blend better than on hairline but a damaged area is still re-brushed across the whole face.	A scratch across the grain is visible from a distance.
Looking after it	A soft brush for the relief, a damp cloth for the face.	A soft brush lifts dust from the dents; a damp cloth for marks.	Along the grain, mild detergent, soft cloth.	Wipe along the grain, never across it, with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
