How it looks	Softer and more open than hairline, with a matt reflection that sits comfortably beside stone and timber.	Deep three-dimensional panels and medallions cast from a pattern, then hand-finished.	Fully reflective. Worth knowing	Small repairs blend better than on hairline but a damaged area is still re-brushed across the whole face.	A pattern has to be made before anything is cast, so a one-off medallion carries the cost of its tooling.	Shows every fingerprint and every scratch, so it belongs where it will be looked at and not handled.	The pattern is set by the sheet, so the layout of panels is decided with the pattern — a swirl cut through by a joint reads as a mistake.
Looking after it	Along the grain, mild detergent, soft cloth.	A soft brush for the relief, a damp cloth for the face.	A soft dry cloth for dust and a damp one for marks — never anything abrasive, which scratches a mirror surface permanently.	Wipe along the grain, never across it, with a soft cloth.
